Mate Algarrobo + Bombilla Pico de Loro

Mate made from carob wood combined with the removable filter of the Pico de Loro bombilla. This makes it the ideal mate for a German winter, perfect for enjoying a wonderfully cold winter afternoon in front of the fireplace with a strong Argentinian yerba mate.

Before using the mate for the first time, I recommend "curing" it; this is done as follows:

1. Coat the inside of the mate with butter or neutral oil and wait about 1-2 hours until it has soaked in.

2. Then take used or new yerba mate, moisten it with water at approximately 80°C and let it stand for 24-48 hours.

3. Then remove the yerba and let it dry.

4. Now the mate is ready and you can drink from it.
