Mate Imperial

Mate Imperial is the classic among mate gourds. With its elaborate decorations, such as the "guarda pampa," it's practically a work of art. It has the largest capacity of any mate gourd and is very stable (due to its wide base). These mate gourds are all handcrafted in Argentina. The interior is made of fine, high-quality gourd and wrapped in cowhide leather. The neck of the gourd is made of nickel silver and adorned with various embellishments.

Note: Before first use, the mate must be "cured." Only when the mate is "cured" is it ready to drink yerba mate from. You can see how to do this here:
